Attorney Profiles

Gus L. Wood was born in LaGrange, Georgia, on March 2, 1938. He was admitted to the bar in 1960. He attended the University of Georgia, where he received his BBA in 1959 and LLB in 1961. During attendance at University of Georgia, he was member of Phi Delta Phi fraternity. He was a captain with the JAGC in the U.S. Army between 1961 and 1963. Mr. Wood served as an assistant United States attorney from 1963 to 1964. He clerked for Judge Lewis R. Morgan of the U.S. District Court from 1964 to 1966. Between 1984 and 1985, Mr. Wood was a member of the Disciplinary Board for the State Bar of Georgia. Between 1985 and 1987, he was a member of the Board of Governors for the State Bar of Georgia. Mr. Wood is currently a member of the Newnan and Coweta Circuit Bar Associates, State Bar of Georgia and The Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

H. Parnell Odom was born in Monroe, Georgia, in October 29, 1946. He graduated cum laude from University of Georgia in 1968 and received his juris doctorate from the same school in 1971. He was a member of Phi Delta Phi, Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi. Mr. Odom was admitted to the bar in 1971. He served as City Attorney in Senoia, Georgia, from 1973 to 1987. He went on to serve as State Court Solicitor in Newnan, Georgia, between 1985 and 1988. Mr. Odom’s areas of practice are residential and commercial real estate, domestic relations and divorce. He is a member of Newnan and Coweta Circuit Bar Associations and the State Bar of Georgia.

Arthur B. Edge, IV was born in Richmond, Virginia, on April 15, 1955. He attended the University of Georgia where he graduated magna cum laude in 1977. He earned his JD and graduated cum laude from the same university in 1980. He was a member of Phi Delta Phi fraternity. Mr. Edge was elected to the Georgia State Senate (District 28) in 1987 and served for ten years. He then became City Attorney for the City of Senoia between the 1991 and 1993. Mr. Edge is a member of the Coweta Circuit Bar Association and State Bar of Georgia. He has served in leadership roles in both organizations. Mr. Edge’s practice areas are civil litigation and trials, personal injury, criminal law and workers' compensation.
